Poland Spring Collectors Set of Centenary Postcards – Limited Edition (Pack of 5)

Celebrate 100 years of sled dog history with this exclusive Poland Spring Collectors Set of Centenary Postcards. This limited-edition pack includes five unique postcard designs, each one commemorating a milestone in the legacy of the Seppala Siberian Sleddog and the heroic 1925 Serum Run to Nome.

These are more than just postcards — they’re small windows into a century of courage, endurance, and heritage. Ideal for dog mushing fans, postcard collectors, and anyone with a love of Alaska, Maine, and the Seppala legacy.

Here’s what’s inside the pack:

  • Design 1: A modern tribute to the Centennial Seppala Expedition 2025, this card features the expedition team: Jeff Kelley, Jonathan Hayes, Jamie Nichols, and Caleb Gingras — all mushing with direct descendants of Leonhard Seppala’s original dogs. The reverse includes the official 2025 expedition logo, created by Deb Unruh.

  • Design 2: Celebrating the Seppala Siberian Sleddog as the official Maine State Dog, this postcard captures the dogs in action on the snowy trails of the Northeast. The back tells the story of the breed’s origin, resilience, and recognition in the state of Maine.

  • Design 3: A powerful then-and-now comparison featuring a historic photo of Leonhard Seppala and his dogs in 1925, paired with a 2025 photo of Jonathan Hayes and a Seppala dog on the same path a century later. The reverse shares the history of the Poland Spring Kennels in Maine, where this legacy continues.

  • Design 4: A stunning art card featuring “Honoring the Past”, a painting by renowned Iditarod artist Jon Van Zyle. It depicts both Seppala (1925) and Hayes (2025), symbolising a hundred years of mushing tradition. The back includes the official Centennial and MushMaine logos, both designed by Deb Unruh.

  • Design 5: Titled “The Seppala Siberian Sleddog – Celebrating a Century”, this card captures a breathtaking moment as sixteen Seppala dogs cross Norton Sound on the Bering Sea during the 2025 expedition. Photo by Caleb Gingras. The reverse includes expedition context and celebration of this milestone journey.

Each postcard is printed in full colour, standard A6 size, and is ready to send, frame, or keep as a collector’s item. These designs are limited edition and will not be reprinted, making them a rare keepsake for anyone passionate about dog sledding history and the Seppala Siberian breed. There are only 50 sets printed.
